Gordon Gallup stated that scientists had succeeded in creating a chimp-human hybrid. Gordon learned of the experiment from a former professor, who informed him that it took done in a facility in Florida in the 1920s.
The hybrid was developed by artificial insemination with a female chimp’s womb, which had borne the kid to term.
Despite this, the project’s scientists opted to euthanize the hybrid due to serious ethical issues. Gallup alleges that the facility in charge of the initiative is still operational, but as you could expect, they have rejected the story. Perhaps the facility’s management is aware of what happened over a century ago and is currently performing such trials.
The name “humanzee” was coined in the 1970s after a chimp with a human face became renowned.
Gallup has stated multiple times that human crossbreeding with chimps and other primates such as orangutans and gorillas is completely doable.
